Abstract

The process of restructuring and shaping industrial and commercial processes is carried out by smart contract technology. Smart contracts integrated into the blockchain provide the ability to automatically implement the contractual provisions of the agreement. Through this, smart contracts are able to reduce administration and service expenses, taking into account an increase in the efficiency of operations and a reduction in the proportion of risks.  Smart contracts have the potential to create a new wave of corporate operations, although there are a number of hurdles to overcome.

The rapid growth of cryptocurrency has prompted a transformation in the financial industry and the creation of a new crypto economy at the present time. Accordingly, the emergence of smart contracts has facilitated, verified, negotiated and self-agreement between multiple untrustworthy parties, and the next generation of decentralized applications has emerged. After that, from the positive aspects of smart contracts, but many problems, such as security risks, weaknesses, and legal challenges, to an extent, impede their implementation. This article provides an overview of smart contracts and cryptocurrencies. We then present a discussion about the challenges and applications of the smart contract.
